What is it?

I've been told about a 15" JBL that has an Altec type 3" voice coil that was built around the time that JBL started up on his own after Altec.
Would anyone out their hazard a guess as to what it might be?
Apparently, there's two of them available and in original mint condition.
I know it's not much to go on, but I don't know any more than that until I get some extra info later in the week.

Damn it! False alarm.
It turns out they were a pair of E-145 15" speakers.
Yeh, I know, but what can you do?
