Hi all,
When in the L96 system, using the battery check, is the movement of the LE10H-1 correct when it moves reward with + DC applied to the positive cabinet input?

Is it correct with the L96 to attach the SOLID green wire to the Red LE10H-1 spring terminal, as is convention with the majority of JBL systems?

I have the schematic, but of course as is so often the case, the actual driver's terminal colors are omitted.

Just want to make sure.

Thank you kindly for clarifying this.

Thomas

Anyone owning this system willing to share?
Thanks,
Thomas

The L96, L112 and L150A all use an identical XO. The XO is labeled +/- for the wires. On all these era JBLs, the solid green wire is woofer + and green/black stripe is woofer - . So green to red terminal and green/stripe to black terminal.

Checked an unmodified L96 with a battery.

bottom line: if you have it internally wired with the green wire to the red LE10H terminal
and the green/black wire to the black terminal,

(as seems to be the JBL norm, and mentioned above: black stripe to black or (-) driver terminal)

then connecting a small battery (1.5v is fine) to the external cabinet terminals
(+ to red, - to black) should result in the woofer pulling in.

So, the answer to your first question: yes.

Thank you very, very much for doing that for me.

Heh... this sorta sounds like me though:

Mattie Ross (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0200981/): [watching Rooster load his revolver] Why do you keep that one chamber empty?
Rooster Cogburn (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000078/): So I won't shoot my foot off.
