Hi,

I recently came across a car amplifier that was for sale (sold). The owner claimed it to be "JBL 2200 Watts 4 Channel Amplifier. Perfect for mids/highs." This seems to be a pretty "high-powered" amp.

Is there such an amplifier? I contacted the seller, but he does not recall the model number. This amp has a six-letter word at the bottom of the last picture (harman?).

From the top and middle pictures, you can see that it has five "bars" across on the top and bottom. This amp appears to be similar to the (old) GTO series amp, but it does not have a lot of orange.

Here are the only pictures that were available from the seller's post:

49124
49123

Coould any one tell what it is? I will appreciate any help. Thanks

No way that thing can produce more than 50 watts per Chanel. Twenty years ago I had jbl's first four channel 100 x 4 amp. It was 12 inches by almost TWO FEET. This is another example of the new China jbl trash. Just my two cents... ps. I sold my jbl for a sound stream that I still own.

They were both made in the USA...
