L 100 empty box Restoration Project- documentation please

Hello,


Does any one have a link to a tech manual page that lists the the particulars to the L100 Century? I'm looking for a schematic and parts list, I'd also like to see the response curves and thiel parameters of the drivers, if possible.

Also, I have 1 of each LE 25-4 and LE 5-6 (from L36) are these OK to populate,
Or should I stick with original?
Would I be better off selecting new(er) components and reworking the crossover to match new drivers?

Aw come on BMWCCA; you think he might of searched to find those....

One word of advice: I've still got my L100A's (my first set of JBL's) and if I were to..God forbid.. lose a driver I'd replace it with an identical driver. JBL had a reason why they built it the way they did, and its so easy just to rebuild it the way it was designed - cost effective too. These speakers still sound great 32 years after their purchase; so done right they'll last a lifetime.

:dont-know: In his defense, as intuitive as these forums may seem to some, it's still tough to find even some of the stuff I know I saw around here somewhere! Great information and always in the last place I seem to look . . . ;)

True, a word to the wise; the tech data sheets link you gave were the second bookmark I set up for LHF and as you know very hard to find in the arcane fashion which JBL Pro stores them.

I agree on your remarks, I just wanted to pull the "search" button.

BTW welcome to LHF Todd; and whatever you do put the correct drivers in your L100's you'll never be sorry. Prior to the current setup I had thirteen sets of decade speakers (up to L100T's); and of all of those the ones I cared the least for were L36's.

Actually I thought the L26's had an outstanding sound; but have always had a place for L100A's, 4312's, and L100T's. My wife just thought I was nuts after 13 pair's > come to think of it I thought I was a little overdone as well.:blink:
