Hello,

For anyone interested, I have modeled the recommended biamp curves from the system information thread (http://www.audioheritage.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?22105-Century-Gold) using winISD Pro so it can be reproduced with an active crossover.

hope this helps

Thank you so much for your help. I have been talking with Pos today about the project of bi-amping my Century Gold. Good idea to publish these results here.
I'm still surprised about the huge differences between the passive and the active crossover given by JBL!

You're welcome :)

The acoustic curves show a crossover point at 600Hz, but if you look at the votlage drive of the passive crossover it is quite similar to the active one:

So you may well end up with a 600Hz 18db/oct crossover point when adding the natural response of the drivers

Thank you for your explanations. It's a lot easier to understand the JBL technical documentation knowing that.
Now it's time for me to try that in reality :).
