Hi Folks,

Pardon me if I am posting in the wrong place. Today at a Flea Market I picked up a JBL Caberet 4612B Speaker cab, the speakers were not mounted (no screws) but all looked ok, figured something must be up with it.

Got it home, tested all speakers/horn, seem to work. tried making a connection thru the rear panel, found a schematic on as to where the speaker wires go. But no sound thru the crossover.

http://www.jblproservice.com/pdf/Cabaret%20Series/4612B.pdf

I took a closer look with the flashlight and it seems the positive terminal has a wire from the input to the extension speaker out but connects to nothing else? The negative goes to a terminal with all the speaker connections. Any ideas?

Thanks so much,

I should also add, the schematic for the crossover is there too....I don't know how to read it.http://www.audioheritage.org/vbulletin/images/smilies/banghead.gif

OK, here is an update. I am suspecting the capacitor is bad, by looking at a bunch of youtube videos.

Found a new one for $16 + at Parts Express + 9 shipping, so I hope that is it.
