What if you take same sub and have so many to play within a cretin part of low end frequency response.

One stack (of x5) with its own amp and crossover to play within 20Hz to 30Hz
Second stack (of x5) with its own amp and crossover to play within 30Hz to 40Hz
Third stack (of x5) with its own amp and crossover to play within 40Hz to 50Hz
Forth stack (of x5) with its own amp and crossover to play within 50Hz to 60Hz
Fifth stack (of x5) with its own amp and crossover to play within 60Hz to 70Hz
Sixth stack (of x5) with its own amp and crossover to play within 70Hz to 80Hz
Seventh stack (of x5 with its own amp and crossover to play within 80Hz to 90Hz
Eighth stack (of x5 with its own amp and crossover to play within 90Hz to 100Hz
Ninth stack (of x5) with its own amp and crossover to play within 100Hz to 110Hz

Yeah that’s a sheer lot of subs for the sakes of reducing distortion and getting a smoother sub bass tone that should rely on less power, to produce or reproduce an accurate low frequency tones.

This thought as been on my mind for years, thou it might seem a bit, impractical due to cost.:D

So slot the steepest crossover -48db at each end of the stack sub assembly, test to see if any peaks and sneaking out where the crossover has been slotted in at. EQ it all the subs to play flat at listening position.

So the range within 40Hz and 50Hz plays with near close uniform peaks or dips, and so on for the other subs.
