What are you guys using for brown grill cloth. I need to re-cloth my 250ti's and L56 speakers and would like to match my other brown clothed JBL speakers. Thanks!

The Acoustimac brown (http://www.acoustimac.com/index.php/diy-acoustic-materials/acoustic-fabric/dmd-acoustic-fabric-by-the-yard.html) is an exact match for color and close match for texture. It doesn't stretch in both directions like the original though, but does stretch well in one direction.

I also need to re-cloth a pair of L56 speakers thanks to our cat. I found this stuff on Parts Express that looks similar to the original: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=260-339

I'll also check out the other ones mentioned here.

I have the black from PE and IMHO it's inferior to the brown I got from acoustimac.

The Acoustimac brown gets my vote. Like rdgrimes says, it's an exact match in color but the texture is just a little different...not a big deal IMO. Actually, I think it's better in quality than the OEM stuff. I used it for my L15s and might eventually do my L86s (the kitties got to them a bit) and L96s too.

I have some large speakers from the 70's that had OEM brown grill cloth ....I dyed them black and they look much more modern....the factory replacements are now black too.

A friend of mine in Oz. bought L250's with very dark blue grills...I thought they looked much more contemporary.

have ideas of making replacement grills for my 250Ti's , not touching originals , and going with black (or dark blue) on them. Anybody else have thoughts along these lines ???
