I have aquired one 2205A. It has never been used.

I know It can be used in 4530 horns. What about using it in a Hartsfield? I cannot find any information on thiele-small parameters of the 150-4C to compare it to. The cone is not the steep angle of the 150-4C or the e145, will it handle compression well?

I could also put it in a simple front loaded horn, like Volotreters.

Or of course sell it. Does anyone know if these are sought after at all?

Any suggestions would be welcome.

The 150-4C went out of production several years before Thiele / Small parameters came into use: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thiele_Small_parameters

Your only chance is thus that a forum member with a 150-4C in pristine condition measures the Thiele / Small parameters for you.

I have both, they look similar but the 2205A has a paper dust cap and squared off magnet cup.
My 2205A are in my 4560 bass horns, and work very well. Some info.

Note it has Fs of 30 Hz.

Didn't the 2205 become the 2225 in later years?

Didn't the 2205 become the 2225 in later years?

It went through the conversion to ferrite, became the 2205H/J.

I will sell this one since it is only one, and there are other better JBL drivers for what I want to build next, a hifi 80 Hz horn, like the Edgar 80 Hz horn or Volvotreters.

I belive this one will be of better use in a bass guitar cabinet.

i am using e 140 in my hartsfield. it seems to work ok. 2205's were recomended for use in 4530 cabinets so i think it would work in a hartsfield
