Hi,
Enjoyed all the reading here. I'm new. I need help with something about Altec speakers and I've searced all over the web.
Ok I own a set of 508A towers. I could not find out if these were the old Good Lansing or not. I was told they sold for about $ 1000 each. They sound ok but are real power hungy and I am driving them with a Yamaha V-1000 amp that has good power.
I have the chance to get a old set, what I think is 1981 Model 8 series II's that have been re foamed and Cap'd.
I would not have the chance to listen to them until after I bought them. I love mids like Gutiar's, strings, horns and such. Could anybody whose knows these speakers give me some info, on if the Model 8 series II's are Good Altec's. And what about the 508A's I hardly find anything about them. Thanks for any and all help.
