looking for a pair of altecs for my upstairs room...
Those woofers don't appear to be original. I have a pair and they use a treated accordian surround. Mine are in different cabs though, so the woofer could be wrong.

They could be a later version. The woofer frame looks identical to that used in the 891A/V, but with a different cone.

I know the 891V fairly well since three friends of mine bought sets. There were contemporaries of the L100 and I thought they sounded quite good.
