I'm just curious what buyers do with 076 cat eye tweeters from gutted L220 and L222 speakers. Are they used in new systems or frankenstein applications? Sent to Japan? Or do they end up on someone's shelf as an art object? And does anyone have a clue on the percentage of L220 and L222 production that was the "A" version with the LE14H woofers?

These are great components that can be adapted to many applications. For decades I have sued UHF tweeters such as the 077, 2405, 075, etc. in non standard applications.

For example, the use of a UHF tweeter can reduce the ssssssssss sound from compression drivers that have Ti diaphragms. Other drivers that are short on high frequency response above 10K (2445, 2446, Altec 802s, etc.) can also benefit.

The commercial value of these is a good indication of their potential use (utility) by others...

Westlake used them in some of their really high end stuff, not sure if that's still the case.

Their pics still show them
