g-day everyone, I was just pointed to join this forum from a member on audiogon.
I'm new here but look forward to visiting regularly.

I purchased many years ago a full custom 3way speaker setup from a club that was closing down.
4 JBL 15" woofers in W horn boxes. 2 JBL mid woofers in Horn loaded boxes. and two horn loaded tweeters with custom made fibreglass horns.
They have been working for a number of years without problem (were made in the 80's). Til recently one of the tweeters were acting up (not very loud).
Having pulled the tweeter apart it seems the voicecoil is deteriorating. When removing the dyaphragm it completely fell apart now won't work at all.
Trying to find out who made it and if its possible to even find a replacement dyaphragm.

Just a quick note on my home gear: My home audio has custom Dynadudio 3ways. 2 parasound HCA-1000A power amps (for tweeters and mids) and two altec lansing 9444B (for woofers monoblocked) in a completely active setup. using a DBX driverack 260 as crossover. Just using a parasound preamp atm.

That driver looks like a N580 from RCF.The horn may be custom made.
New diaphragma must be still available as "RCF/ EAW M35 Diaphragm used in N580".

Will you let me know if my info was correct?

RCF make drivers for EAW(mackie) i believe,
reconingspeakers.com have them listed on their shopping cart but have no stock available.
Anyone know where I can purchase these as similar price as reconingspeakers.com ($60USD).
I live in australia and kinda need these in a hurry.

Spoke to a company in australia called speaker bits, I can get it shipped for $168AUD..seems to be a bit high...
I have found a few websites that have them
http://www.audio-workshop.co.uk $70AUD plus postage from the UK
http://www.speakersaver.com/ $93AUD Plus postage from the USA

The specifications pdf can be downloaded from here
http://www.doublefishdesigns.com/forum/rcf/RCF_N481K.pdf

anyone else have any ideas? i'm surprised no one has some old stock lieing around...
