Hello!

I recently acquired a pair of JBL 250ti's from my father in law who recently past away. He owned a stereo shop in Honolulu back in the day and I understand that these speakers are quite sought after. I'd really like to get them going again.

I've already started repair on the woofers which needed to be refoamed...

One of the 8" lower mid drivers (model 108H) has a hole in it and also needs to be repaired.

Does ANYONE know where I can get a recone kit for these 108H's? I can't seem to find them anywhere...

Thanks in advance.... I can't wait to hear what these speakers sound like!

posted is $112 to recone a 108H...

good luck with the "new" speakers.

I wonder what cone kit they use on them these days? Considering the value of 108H drivers, that price is extremely reasonable. I think the last working pair I saw sold for >$400.

have to call to see if they have the kit...
web page specifically states 'aftermarket' if it is priced that way.
the 108H kit price is then presumably for a stock JBL kit, if available.

(is this the same as 2118H? ... ah except for aquaplas ... as the
price at OCS is the same to recone a 2118, I'd corner them about
whether they would just use a 2118 cone kit and tell you it was good to go)

That's good price if it is a JBL kit. Please let us know if it is.

Thanks Rob:)

I think for anyone who might be a noob to all this stuff, your language is ambiguous enough to be taken the wrong way ( "would & could" being interchangeable in some peoples vernacular, changes the nuances of your phrase around completely, IMO )

Permit me ( please ) a paraphrase for clarity ;

- I'd challenge OCS ( upfront ) about whether they intend to use a 2118 recone kit and then try to tell you it's the same as the kit for the 108H ( it isn't ) .
- The two speaker models use different recone kits .

<> cheers :)

( yeh I'm nit-picking )
