Wich wood 250 Ti (Teak or Mahogany)?

I just got my first pair of long wanted speakers 250 TI and need some information about the wood (Teak or Mahogany). The former owner told me it was Teak but a friend of mine whom have had 240 TI earlier told me it was Mahogany. Can you please help me out with this issue to figure out which one it is and maybe give me an idea of what woodenproduct to use for finish them up. There are some marks on the bottom of one speaker I would like to repair, can I use some vax to fill it out?

my understanding is that the L250 was made in a variety of woods, whereas the 250Ti was ONLY made in teak

I have used a beeswax wax on them with great results...the beeswax contained a citrus cleaner and is applied with a very fine steelwool. that cleans the dirt out of the pores and replaces with the wax.

I think the marks you are referring to are missing veneer around the skirt ?? we all have that problem...there is a good thread around here just about that topic...I used a walnut stain that darkened the areas and are now almost invisible...sliding them around on rug seems to cause this ..... get some decent feet under them...also a thread about this ....just search on "250ti"

Is there any posibility it could be Valnut on them in stead of Teak? I saw a pair where there stod Valnut.
