Hi there,
here is my crossoverschematic.
Any comments?
Is it ok?
What can I do better?

Best Regards

Dieter

Hello Dieter

Can't really help you on your crossover but I am curious about the 2360's. How are they in your room?? Do they run out of steam at about 10K or so?? How close are you to them??

Thanks Rob:)

Hi Rob,
I like them!!! :D They are very relaxing and build a very good soundstage in wide and deep. Unfortunately they droop about 9-10kHz (first i`ve tried to use them in a two-way system, but the lastest octave is lacking):(, so i use the 2405. This is better!!
In the next weeks i will try the 2450 with the 2450SL diaphragma, perhaps they get a better high-frequency response.
My room is about 15' x 24'. My listening-position is about 20'.
Regards

Dieter

Hi Giskard,

you answered to this thread, but now your answer is gone.
I want to correct the schematic of the crossover, but i don't know, what values are in your schematic.
What does the curves in the attachement mean?

Thank you for your help.

The curve in my reply was the voltage drive of your network using dummy loads. If you're still interested I will repost my reply later today. Have you built and listened to this network yet or are you still in the design stage? How did you arrive at the values shown in your schematic?

Hi Giskard,

yes, i built it in a test setup, where i can chance the values easily.

the lowpass for the bass i get from you.
the badpass i get from a friend, who own the 2451SL on a 2360 and i change and listen and change ....
on weekend i changed the highpass for the 2405 to the schematic of the JBL 3133. I think it is better (for my ears) than the 3155.

I count on your help

Dieter

Here's a repost of what I came up with:

Well for what its worth the horn pre-emphasis for the 2360 in the M552/553 crossovers is -5dB @ 2k unity at 5k and +6 @ 20k. Don't know how much this can really help you but it should at least give you a hint as to what the voltage curves should look like without the 075

Giskard...

What is the software package that generates the crossover response curve? Very interesting stuff. This is new to me...
