I just uploaded my collection of five JBL promotional videos from the 70's and 80's along with a slide show I put together of some "Then and Now" Lansing Heritage related locations. They can be found on my channel here:

Watched all three.

There are actually six videos if you click the "see all" link below the three video thumbnails. Currently, there seems to be a bug where it shows double links for the videos when you click "see all" so that 12 videos pop up. However, when you look closely, you will see that it is displaying each video twice.

There are a number of friends to this website in the videos. Arnold Wolf is in the first video along with Mark Gander and Drew Daniels. Greg Timbers is in the Ti video and John Eargle is in the second video.

This nation was founded by a special breed of people, people who in their every behavior demonstrated a commitment to excellence, a commitment to craftsmanship, a commitment and a readiness for daring. JBL is the inheritor in important ways of that American heritage and that American tradition. It will consistently reflect it, in the products that it makes, in the way in which it produces that product, and the way in which that product performs. - Dr. Sidney Harman

Until, of course, we move all our shit to Mexico and China. :rotfl::applaud:

It seems to me that someone at JBL Professional Manufacturing needs to be "re-educated". :barf:

Very nice videos of the way it used to be though. Thanks!

. . . . It seems to me that someone at JBL Professional Manufacturing needs to be "re-educated". . . .

The decision was probably made elsewhere by someone looking at numbers on a computer screen.

Hello Don

Great vids. I'd like to see something filmed at Glendale, with all the pretty women pushing carts of parts & assy's back & forth across the street.

Thanks again for the videos. Is there any "internal" "old - tmey" footage (audio, video, film) available from the factories, such as traing materials?

Or a good "Christmas Party" flick (just kidding), Rich

Yeah keep those uploads coming Don, I like the view into the past.
Do you have any JBL videos of early 90’s? I noticed most are around 80’s time.

Now that’s a bit enforcing isn’t it.:p

Yeah but reading some of the responses makes one want to disconnect from the Internet once and for all... :rotfl:

I checked out a few other DD66000 videos and some of those responses were quite comical too.

It struck me watching the videos that the image of computer technology looks so much more dated than the speaker systems. In fact, I can not imagine any use for the computers but I could listen to the speakers shown all day long!

was there a TLX series??

AsI recall, late 90's Best Buy grade. I had a set of TLX-171 (?) that's when I realized I needed to repair my L112's. I gave the TLX to my son.

Thanks Don for these great videos.

Thank you Don! Those were outstanding to watch, as this is the same time I got interested in JBL. Their marketing of 1979 products sure worked on me!!!

Its a real treat to be here and revel in all of the nostalgia.

Thank you again.

Scotty.
