Guys,

I would certainly appreciate some help and advice here please.

Here's the cabinet I am talking about.......

What is likely to happen if I replace the M115-8A driver with a 2226H? Can it be done? Will it be noticable...better or worse?

Many thanks.

The box is most likely not tuned for this woofer and the crossover is not made for it either so it can be worse in some aspects.

The only advantage would be some increased power handling but will the HF driver allow it?

You'd have to try it or model it.

What application will you be using this for?

The 2226 is a better driver but (as stated above) that doesn't mean it will work better in this box with the included crossover.

Thanks for the replies.

I was wanting to use the AC's as the elevated channels for a DSX system and as they're part of the front sound stage, timbre matching is important.

For my mains, I'm using 3632 M/H-F sections coupled with 4648A LF cabinets.

The AC2215 could be a reasonable choice since the HF driver is the same. But what about the differences in the 15" drivers? Will it be noticable do you think?

Any ideas?
