Saw a pair of L88 Nova on eBay. I noticed that they have cutouts for an energizer. Would not the cube taken by the amplifier be enough in that cabinet to change the bass response?
I think it is supposed to remain external to the speaker, only screwed on its back.

From what I have seen the energizers were always mounted in the box. Otherwise why have the knock out in the back?

I have a pair of L88 Novas and mine don't have a cut out for an energizer amp.

Then what is the rectangle for on the back right side?

Mine do not have that cut out. Interesting, very interesting!:hmm:
I do feel that the space taken up by the energizer could affect the tuning of the box.
