Gentlemen,
I recently acquired a set of woofers 2231H, mid 2425H and tweeters 2405H
all in nice cabinets but without crossovers. May I ask are there any factory
suggestions for building crossovers or probably ready made items, Can't
find any information.
Thank you for help, A.S.

What horn do you have on the 2425H?

The midrange horn is type 2307.
Thank you for suggestions,
A.

Then the obvious choice would be the L300 network
(even if the horn is not exactly the same, ie you will have a L200B + tweeter)

do you have the lens on the horn?

What is the box volume for the 2231H, as well as port(s) dimension(s) ?

there is no lens, but I have a pair 2301 short horns with
grid lenses, should I use these?

Will check the bass cabinet later,
best,
A.

Back to your original question. The most sensible thing you could do would be to attempt to replicate the L300/4333A. You are almost there. In addition to getting the correct horn, I would try to get some aluminum diaphragms or at least get the 2425s aquaplased.

Do some searches for aquaplas, 3133 (the designation for the L300/4333A network) and charge coupling. ;)

In either case you will probably not be able to find the tapped inductor used in the midrange circuit. But the following midrange circuit can be used with similar effect and greater availability of the parts. However, change the 0.5 mH choke shown to a 0.3 mH choke as the circuit was designed for the 075 rather than 077 tweeter.

In either case you will probably not be able to find the tapped inductor used in the midrange circuit.Hence my recommendation to do the searches. There was a time when I would have done it for him, but why cheat him out of the fun?

In any case, if you search for 3133 and charge coupled networks you will find a thread or two describing exactly how you can build an equivalent network to the original JBLs but with commonly available parts and have the added benefits of charge coupling.

Back from some serious work again, sorry for delay.
The volume is about 128 litres and it has two tubular
reflex ports of 9 cm diameter and 16 cm length.
I will type this in inches and cubic feet if necessary.

Anybody got a schematic of the L300 crossover?

Thanks again,
A.
