View Full Version : Large adhesive ALTEC stickers

hello
have a pair of 816A cabs that has taken a serious beating and needs refurbishing
when sanded and painted the ALTEC LANSING stickers on the sides will go south
does anyone know of a source for new ones?

They show up on Ebay all the time. Some are copies, some are original.

Can you post a pic of what exactally your refering to and I'll also look around. I'd like to know exactally what Iam looking for.

I don't know of one specific to the 816. There are about three styles that I've seen on cabinets forsale or in forums, but the one I linked to is the one most people want.

I think these are copies.

Very carefully compare to a known original? I don't know them well enough to know.

they look like the logo on the top left side of this pdf doc. but the letters are in white and the sticker is almost as wide as the bottom side of the cab

If you post a pic of your original that's still on the cabinet and a measurement height and width this will be the best error proof way to get what's on there.You said "the sticker is almost as wide as the bottom side of the cab".Where the problem is I don't know what the measurement of almost is or the measurement of the cabinet.Iam willing to help you but you're not helping yourself here.Get a pic posted and measure the height and width of the decal on the cabinet and I'll be able to try to locate one or two, til then I cannot help you.If your not serious about this then just say so and I'll quit wasting my time.

the problem is that I send them to sanding and painting without taking the measures first!
I just took a picture with my Iphone.
I thought it was a piece of cake finding a std sticker. so just forget it then
IŽll have a copy made locally
I know of another Norwegian who can take the measures for me
thxs anyway

I've never seen an Altec sticker like that.
