Hi all,
I'm new here, so this may have been addressed, but I can't find it. Question - I have had a pair of 250ti's since 1987. They have always been flawless. The one thing I don't like about them are the speaker posts being plastic. Can I upgrade them? What works? Or am I going down the wrong path, and should keep them as original?
Thanks

All the JBL posts get replaced at some point. The biggest issues are fit (getting them into the holes and connecting) and profile. (How far do they stick out) Typically you need something that does not stick out more than 3/4" if you want to still be able to lay the speaker down on it's back.

On the original 250ti crossover, getting to the posts is no small job. You'll want to remove the XO completely to work on it.

I'm pretty sure these Daytons:

are the ones I've used on several JBLs and should work well on the 250. Note the knurled shaft, which wants a tight fit in the hole.
