Is the 2450's throat removable?

Is the 2450's throat removable?
If so - will 2450 whithout throat the same as 2451 and usable with 1.5" horn?

Do a search here. I believe subwoof has posted about this. As I recall there are some tapped holes missing, which makes it a big job.
