First post. Thank you for a wonderfully informative site. :applaud:
I have a pair of 4410 monitors (the original version with L-pads) that have served me well since somewhere back in the early '80s. Long story short... over time, a slight loss of bass and the L-R balance shifting a bit to the left got me to take a close look at the foam surrounds. :(
I was dismayed to see a cracked & crumbling foam surround on one of the 127H-1 woofers. I thought I'd be looking at a huge repair or replacement bill, but not so........ my confidence raised with the pictoral help of the BoPutnam sticky on foam replacement along with Rick Cobbs' replacement surrounds, and I'm happy to say that once again my monitors sound as great as they look. Woo Hoo! :) :D :)
