Sorry if I mis-use any terminology in this email, but I'm looking for help for both my father and uncle.

They both have JBL L100T speakers that they bought new in the late 80's. Both sets sounds spectacular yet, however the foam outter ring on the woofers is starting to fall apart. I've heard that this is a very common problem and have read that it is repairable.

Who is a respectable shop that these could be repaired at? What is the approximate cost(just a ballpark idea)?

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

Give this a read:

Very thorough description of whats involved in doing it yourself.
If you do decide to have them done by someone else, make sure and state that you want the surrounds applied to the back of the driver.

enjoy,

Easy to do, I've re-surrounded 4 pair of L100T's. Just follow the instructions and be patient.;)

follow this link to the ebay store of LooneyTunes2001; he supplies the best kits; and is who the sticky is based on using.

I bought four sets of surrounds for the L100T's 128H from him. They're easy to apply, just follow directions carefully. Read above, read the sticky, remember to glue the surround first to the back of the cone; not the front; or folks will point out your error.
