I'm planning to build this in 2010.
New 2446 is at my upper budget limit, reviues about 2360+2446 (or other offtopic drivers) I'd founded are good..
Questions, some of many, about driver selection:
1. 2445 fotos & specs look similar to 2446. What is difference, in sound at first?
2. 2447 - looks as 2446 without 1.5"to2" adaptor. Is it so or not? (if so - why 47 isn't cheeper?)

2445/6: diaphragm construction (embossed 'stiffening' pattern on 2446).
For me, this makes the 2360+2446 a viable top end without need for a
tweeter, where the 2445 does not quite.

2447 is more recent.

I hope your walls can be built out a meter or so (re "inwall horns")

thanx, it's important
and how is 46vs47 in sound?

I'm incline to diy horns.. 2360 is expensive hear (about $700 one new; and there's no used ))) & isn't flatfront.
nearest known to me home using 2360 (clones p-audio 760, not available now) is 1000km far :) and -30C outdoor temperature :(

The available horns would define the difference, as I believe the diaphragm,
motor and phase plug are the same.

An area where I am not clear is whether the 2445 uses the same "Coherent
Wave" (equal length passages) phase plug as the later 2446/7 models...
this is claimed to increase output in the upper octaves (I -presume- due to less
interference/cancellation). My speculation is that the 2445 does not, but is
still quite suited to mid-range duty.

A further option to consider would be the installation of an Aquaplas
treated diaphragm, several JBL versions are available (at least three).

Flat front? There are a pair of 2352 horns on Ebay (or were).

2352 is 1.5" - for 2447
somebody estimated 2360 sending as ~$1000.. it will be the same - buy new here :) (with 2446 as hf part of cinema 4675)

I have both 2445 and 2446, sound wise they are quite similar, with the 2446 having a slight edge above 16KHz. 2445 can do highs, just not as cleanly as 2446. The phase plugs visually are quite different in that the 2446 is visible in the throat of the horn and the 2445 is not.

2447 eliminates the throat and places the phase plug AT the horn mouth IIRC. Supposed to lower distortion and improve HF directivity.
