Hello to all

After almost 2 years of happy living with my 4430, i decide to move on up the 44xx chain... A pair of 4435 clones will arrive in January, made by a respectable forum member. :applaud:

What amplifiers would you recommend? Space is around 50 sqm and i don't have bi amp option. The amp should have enough headroom, make the most out of 4435 bass and not be harsh on top. I listen mostly rock, blues and jazz.
I would appreciate any experiences or opinions.

Thank you

Hi Ferrarista,

My vote goes for a McIntosh power amp with something about 100W/pch or more.

I'm just in the phase of changing my Sansui BA 2000/CA 2000 gear to the McIntoshs after I tested this with my 4435.

There's no need for the new and expensive ones.... try MC 2105, 2125, 2205, 2250 or 2255, together with a Mc Preamp.

just my 2 cents....

I second that. For me autoformer solid state McIntosh has been the perfect balance of capabilities for full range use. I'm familiar with the MC2200 (200 wpc, more like 300 in middle frequencies), and the MC250, which is not enough, IMO. I would try to get a newer amp than those, budget permitting.

I would try and audition any amp before buying but I would especially like to hear the Bel Canto Ref1000 monos with those...Have fun:banana:
