Egads. I fear I brough this on myself - my loathing of anything Behringer was far too pure...

Behringer buys Midas (http://fohonline.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=3128&Itemid=1)

Watch eBay! There will be a plethora of stuff (mine) with "Midas" and "Klark Teknik" labels arriving soon!

But in defense of what you currently have, it was purchased BEFORE this happened!!!
Fender guitars anything pre CBS is cherished! What you have is pre Behringer, it is there for untainted! Think this through before you dump your Klark Teknik gear on eBay!

"...we also look forward to learning from the achievements of their engineers
and working with them to take Behringer and all of the Music Group brands to a new level.”

Hopefully, the backflow in the the other direction is minimal.

Harman has been good for some of it's acquired brands and bad for others, in this case I do fear for Midas' and Klark Teknik's future.

Maybe that is why many of us cherish the vintage JBL. I do have a "Behringer" amp at the station, Oh what will I do.:(

I had two different Behringer sub-bass sythns (akin to dbx120) that had been sitting in the extra gear rack in my bathroom at work, so I decided to open them up and rape them for all of their parts. All of the pots, caps, ICs, power transformer...evrything and scrap the tin case. I checked all of the parts on meters and other test jigs, put them into the shop supply drawers, and I never looked back.

The older bass synth was really straight-forward design and construction. The pcb was well laid out, and all of the parts and their component values were screened on the pcs. The newer model used a few suface mount ICs (4560) but nothing of any real value. I even saved all of the leds, and there were a bunch of them.

Point:
Some of their stuff is worth its sum of parts, and some just is not IMHO.

I will be looking for Bo to start selling off all of his newly branded behringer items... not.

Hope al is well!
Scotty.

My single favorite spoof, is at the Crystal Bay Casino, where legend Jim Gamble (http://www.gambleboards.com/) and Senior Engineer Blake Beeman have four Behringer C/L's racked next to the control surface for the DCX. They aren't inserted - merely there for impact on visiting engineers. Mine fulfilled their expectations...

If I were them I would be afraid of the mere presence of it in the rack and just touching the "real equipment". To play it safe I always keep Behringer free zone around me and my equipment!
