JBL G125 12" woofer.
These were puleed from a JBL PA cab and do NOT have the 'magnet cover' as shown on a parts list and section diagram. What they DO have is a 3/4" hole through the center back of the magnet structure clear through to the inside surface of the dust cap. JBL parts wasn't sure that the magnet cover was a RING, or a full COVER that sealed off this hole from debris. I'm ordering a pair of the covers, they're cheap enough, but if it does NOT cover said hole, should I put a piece of screen or solid material over it?

THanks

Drivers that are sold as individual speakers in their own box get the full cosmetic treatment. Drivers that are sold as part of system may or may not get the full cosmetic treatment. Not sure why JBL does this.

The internal foam filter has disintegrated and should be replaced if you can see the dustcap. Any spkr shop can do this and replace the dustcap.

The "in the box" speakers are designated PL ( protector less ) on the parts list and "sometimes" on the components themselves.
