I have owned a pair since 1988 or 1989, and I have not done much with them. What is a good application for them...how do you use them?

Last thing...which sub would be a good match for the 4406? I do not need anything vintage or $$, just something basic that will compliment them.

I have a pair of 4406's that I use above a 30" Dell monitor on my computer. They are driven by a Yamaha receiver fed from an output of a M-Audio sound card.
At one point I used them in a Living room, sitting on a pair of B380 clones that I built years ago. The sound was excellent. The 2235s were a nice match for them. I crossed them over @ 125HZ.
I believe they were originally designed to be used as near-field monitors above a mixing console.
I have always been impressed by these. Some of my favorite home speakers are L100t3. They are somewhat similar in character to them. They use the same tweeters.

That sounds like a nice set-up.
