JBL 2204 with AL dust cap?

I am thinking of purchasing JBL 2204's locally from an older gentleman that says he is the original owner. Used it for guitar with failry low power amps.

My question is that the 2204's have Al dust caps. All the pictures I have ever seen the 2204's have paper dust caps. Is this possible?

Aluminium dust cap suggests E120....
If you're sure they are 2204 they maybe have been reconed with the wrong cones or simply had the cap changed.

False alarm. When I actually went to look at the 2204's they had paper cones. He was confused and thinking of another set of guitar speakers he was selling.

He had lots of old JBL speakers.
