That driver won't clear the dogbox housing the 2122. The 2450, however, does fit, with a 2311/H93 horn, and with SL powder coated diaphragms (get 16 ohm) sounds very good in that application.

Does the crossover need to be adjusted? Ordinarily, yes. I have not used a test setup on this arrangement, and neither has anyone else as far as I know, so I can't say it has the Good JBL Keeping Seal of Approval. I've just used my ears and a Lucky Dime I use to adjust the level controls. Now, that may be all right, but then again I think the LSR32 is a good speaker, so who knows? All I can say for sure is, it fits, and, I like it. Should someone else spend $1200 or so to make it happen in his neighborhood? I don't know.

actually the 2440 *does* fit with a very small amount of filing of the dog house - use a bondo type curved rasp. I did this with a pair of 4345's and 4343B's some years ago.

HOWEVER the production runs for the JBL monitors did vary so measure first....

If you back off the attenuator about 3db it will be close.

True. They are cheap but very large and heavy. I specifically used them because they are the 4-inch version of the 2425H/J. I installed D8R2452H-SL diaphragms in them to work correctly with the 4344 MK II network. I also have the 16 ohm diaphragms (which I aquaplased) to work correctly with the stock 4344/4345 network.

With the stock network I would use a 376, 2441 or 2450 instead of a 375 or 2440.

I finished up the charge coupled 4344 MK II networks yesterday afternoon and had a couple hours to spend in front of the loudspeakers last night. They sound really nice. If one can't afford a pair of Everest II's, K2-S9900's or Arrays at least there are still plenty of 4345's and 4355's around. :)

This weekend I hope to have the stock 4345 networks bolted in as well as a fresh pair of 2122H's so I can finish up the final version of the equivalent network in the next week or two.

Would there be a benefit to using a 2445 in a 4344 setup? I have parts to build a clone, was thinking about using the same crossover idea - a biamp only 4344 Mk II network since I have 2235H, 2123H, 2426, 2405A on hand.
