For some strange reason the power LED indicator lights-up but when attaching the ECM8000 up to the MIC I get no response on the input. I’m sure the ECM8000 is okay and that the fault lies with the MIC100.
When I used to switch the MIC100 ON with the levels turned up to full the LED was dancing up and down without source microphone attached to it. Weird huh? Now it doesn’t do it, its dead, Jim. :banghead::D Oh, well only had for 2 ½ 3 years. A replacement would be around £39.00 pounds when I get around to buying another.
So what could be at fault I’m sure its simple component to replace if I knew what component had failed?
So at present I’m forced to use the SPL metre analogue attached to the pc which seems to work fine but I miss my MIC100.
So the SPL db meter s now presently being used for calibration measurement of home theatre shack’s REW
Also, did you also know you can use the SPL db meter as microphone on the internet and it sounds so much better than the average mic. You can use the A weighting to limit the frequency response of your voice or the C weighting for a more fuller tonal sound.
