Hi All,

Does anyone have schematics for GP's new 604 crossovers? ie 604 E super crossover, DN604ER-1, 704

Thanks!

I do not have a copy, but keep in mind that the 604E used Alnico magnets, and the GPA 604 is ceramic....the spacing between the LF and HF drivers is different, and if the crossover was designed with that in mind...you could see issues using it.

You may be better off building a replica of the Mastering Labs crossover...only catch is finding the values, and winding the tapped inductor that is used in that particular circuit.

Where can I find schematics for ML crossovers. I am looking for something different to try with my 604s. Thanks!

I'm still looking for the ML crossover, but here is a copy of the original Urei811 crossover...it was licensed from EM Long (aka Mr Mastering Labs), and is time aligned...I'll keep looking for the ML crossover too.

I can't find it....but at any rate....

The original Urei used an Alnico 604, with a modified (non-cellular) horn. Should be a pretty close match....

Here's the only schematic that I have for it / I can't vouch for it's accuracy .

>< cheers :)

Hey thanks for the file! :) I need to get a box of random capacitors to tinker with. Buying new caps can make the back pocket itch!

Maybe this file will help. Have also used GPA new crossovers with old 604e's and heard no noticeable effects when used with small single end 845 tube amp.

Thanks! Im going to experiment with all kinds of crossovers. Have you ever heard the altec 604 crossover that was used with the K series. hi and mid adjustments?
