I'm re-purposing some Tannoy cabinets as bass bins. They are cut for a 10" driver. I'll be getting 2.5 cu/ft of volume and can port as needed.

Any thoughts a suitable drivers of the JBL ilk?

Since everyone thinks the L80T is worthless anyway, how 'bout a nice 127H-1? :dont-know

Disclosure: I own two pair of L80Ts and find them a very nice system.

I'd like them to play up to 1000-1500 (this is not super important) and down to to upper 30 to 40hz region if possible.

I'd like them to play up to 1000-1500 (this is not super important) and down to to upper 30 to 40hz region if possible.127H-1 appears to be usable from 20Hz to 1.5kHz from what I can tell. I believe the LE10H-1 covers a similar range of 20Hz to 1.2kHz from what I see in the tech sheets and the response graph show pretty good to 3.2kHz. The 127H-1 should certainly have better availability and at a lower price. Specs for LE10H-1 is here: http://www.audioheritage.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=10663

I'm sure someone has the same info on the 127H-1 but I can't find it.

I use LE10 in a two-way, crossed at 1400 Hz (LR 4th order) to a 1.5" dome in a 6" waveguide. Works fine.
