Well i have had a very good listening session with my everests and they sound amazing. I did this for around one week to get familiar with them
and then hooked up the b460 and WOW !!! that thing is a monster !! i played many cd's and bluray movies and the everest definately need a subwoofer. I then hooked up a sub1500 in a b380 box i bought from the same friend and........the sub1500 is AMAZING!!! AND LOUD !!. i think the sub1500 sounds more musical and tighter, the sound stage is huge and very open, just what i like. Does anyone know why jbl stopped making the sub1500 ???? I for one would by 3 or 4 for my collection.:):)

Does anyone know why jbl stopped making the sub1500 ???? I for one would by 3 or 4 for my collection.:):)They didn't... it evolved a little and is now called the W1500H. From the listener's side they look the same, the motor however was tweaked a bit an improved to give it even less distortion and a tiny bit more output.

I don't know what's available in Australia, but here they are readily available, though not inexpensively as the self powered Array 1500. Your $4800 will get you a 1000 watt amp and an exquisitely finished cabinet along with the W1500H.
