I have searched on the forums for the answer but could not find it.
I am looking for some help on the wiring of a N800F 16ohm crossover.

Mine has 5 wires (green, red, black, brown, yellow)

I figured the horn is red and black. The woofer is green and black.

All that is left is the brown and yellow which I figure to be inputs but if so which is R and L.

Thank you in advance for your help

From your description the are 2 black wires.
HF-Red & Black
LF-Green & Black
Input-Brown & Yellow
With this you could wire up ONE 2 way speaker system. Which channel you hook the brown & yellow to is up to you. But you can only hook them to ONE channel.

It only has one black wire.

Now I am really confused!

Here is a picture of the crossover. Your help is really appriecated.
Thank you

Looks like maybe Altec parts? (green dial face plate)

I Googled N800F 16 ohm and found this thread on the Altec Lansing site:

But Zilch on THIS site spoke about it here:

Note - there are 3 places labelled BLK - Black - they are electrically identical - so you can splice 3 wires (black preferred) to that single Black wire coming out of the can to hook all 3 places to that point. Note sure how handy you are, excuse me if I presume badly, but you can just get a roll of black stranded hookup at RadioShack.

If there were 4 wires it would be just a high pass filter.
Also the yellow wire has a connector on it and the other are just bare wire.
Do you have any test gear?
The drawing in Heathers post is correct. If you wired the black externally it should work. Maybe they were trying to save a penny.

Thank you to everyone for your help on this.

I just noticed that when I wrote about the Brown and Yellow as L and R... I meant + and - for the input
