A thought about placement with S/2600

Do you think these could benefit any way by being off the floor(stands) at some level? I noticed that some 4425 & 4338 pictures show them on stands. The owners manual says nothing so I assume they should stay put but I am curious....they sound great as is.

I listen to my S3100 with the compression driver slot at my ear level when seated. They just worked out that way sitting on the floor. I imagine that raising the 2600 would help out somewhat. It certainly would be easy enough to try out.

Correct. It would be easy. However, I also wonder about the height as well as the 'stand' itself. Should it be built any specific way (i.e. with ports, any particular lining inside ( or outside )?

Don't get me wrong and excuse me if this sounds stupid but I am always trying to get the most out of the equipment. It sounds great as is and I have a set of Tannoy ST50 supertweeters on top that adds greatly to the HF.

I will just start out by raising a couple inches and work from there.
