Hello all.

I'm new here but figured this was the place to look for answers.

I recently picked up a pair of L166 and L300! woohoo! But, when I plugged them into my Marantz 2500 set to Stereo mode the right speaker seems to work fine. But, the left speaker only the horns are putting out. When I switch it to L & R both speakers are putting out equally. Is that the right way when in stereo?

I look forward to your responses and I know. :useless: (I love that avatar). They will be forthcoming.

Thanks.

Sounds like your issue is with the reciever not the speakers.

Congrats....I would address the issue ASAP with the feller that you bought the gear from. Something might have been knocked out of whack in transport.

Welcome...you picked some good speakers.

Great speakers, I used to have a pair of 300s, they never failed to amaze me. I have a pair of 166s now and they're pretty good. Your problem seems to be with the Marantz. Get it sorted out to where you can really use your "new" JBLs. :applaud:

We are still waiting for pics...I hope you did not stack the L166s on top of the L300s :D

Uh, how 'bout putting Klipsch Hereseys on top 300s?

I would have to be a real bonehead right?

Seems the problem is the receiver not the speakers. I tried the L166 also and the same problem. I turned the selector knob a few times and got static every now and again and once had the speakers working properly in Stereo only for it to fade away.

Pictures by the weekend.

Thanks all. :applaud:
