Possibly a silly question but just wondering if an 044ti would physically and acoustically fit a L96? :hmm:

Physically yes, acoustically not even close. You would need to change out the midrange (104H) and the network too (N120Ti).

And, of course, probably cheaper just to do something like this http://ebayitem.com/280390693635 and leave the nice little L96s as they are!

(For posterity: Link shows a pair of re-foamed 120ti's on Epay sold for $501.)

Cool & thanks. Just thought I'd check because there's a pair of 18ti's on peepay at the mo.

Thanks for the wise words. I also need to install the CC'd 3113B's that have just arrived.

- that was a good deal for those 120ti's!

Indeed, but I've got so many 128H-based systems already I don't know what I'd do with more. I'm not even using any of them now! And, of course, I'm nowhere near Colorado . . . which only saved me money!

Was that pair of 18Ti's the ones with the pushed-in tweeter diaphragm that still went for $160 a couple of days ago? I didn't see any on Ebay.uk.

(pair of 18ti at £102 with one hour to go- on uk ebay)

He said that the 115H had been reconed but I thought it was NLA? Regardless, he replied that the 044ti was original and in perfect working order.

Well they went for £150 in the end. That's equivalent to around $245, which is possibly in the same ballpark as pairs of 044ti's go for on ebay? I'd hazzard a guess that at least some of those bidders were mainly interested in acquiring the HF units.

I'm still undecided whether being currently cash poor is a good thing or not. I could have rounded out the Ti collection with the local 120Ti and near 240Ti sales.
