I'd seen a trailer for this a few months ago, but when I heard it was opening at the local film art-house,
I checked with Emma and we decided to go today after work. Neat documentary on 3 famous musicians,
their introductions to, and experiences with the electric guitar.
Jimmy Page
The Edge
Jack White
got to see early films of Page in school, in a skiffle band, and as a studio musician - before Yardbirds, .. back inna day.
Also had clips of Edge and some guy named Bono in an early glam band as kids - and at various times through his career.
Also a bunch of clips of Jack White, who I knew of, but not as well ...
And they got together and played and shared info - kind of an informal documentary, but if you like any of those performers, its a must-see.

Yeah, I was intigued by it when JE mentioned it here: http://www.audioheritage.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=24482

Nice to hear you give it a good review. I'll cross my fingers that it shows up nearby!

Yeah, I'd gotten in touch with Page's manager asking about details (or an early-release copy? :applaud:) but didn't hear back much. He did give me 4th-row tix to see Metallica in your town, though- I'll be over there in October. THAT might get loud.

Well, I don't know how long it will be playing there, just opened today -
www.cinemaartstheatre.com (http://www.cinemaartstheatre.com/) but they said - "We will have it exclusive in the area. It is rated PG, runs 97 minutes and plays at 10:00am, 12:05, 2:20, 4:40, 7:20, 9:30"

I gather its more an independent film kind of release, but it is Sony Pictures ...
