I picked up a pair of JBL Baron 030 speakers last week at a local resale shop for $20 and other than missing the logos on the grills they are intact and working. My question is this...what is the correct logo for this model from 1968? I could use a picture if anyone has one available. Thanks for the help. Scott

I picked up a pair of JBL Baron 030 speakers last week at a local resale shop for $20 . . . Aw, you shouldn't be braggin' about thievery in your very first post here! ;)

Welcome. The library on this site shows the old-fashioned brass logo like this (http://ebayitem.com/140339519074) in that year but that's not what I remember seeing. I would have thought that vintage with the front-mounted D130 probably used this logo:

Just so you know what a bargain you got...

I purchased the same basic system without the enclosure 3 weeks ago. Two D130's, two 075's and N2500's and the cones were a bit torn which I repaired to serviceable status. I paid $100.00

I sold both 075's for $300.00

I just sold both D130's to a guitar player, Chet Atkins style, for $250.00

I have a sale pending on the N2500's for $50.00

Just so you know...

I would go buy a lotto ticket this week if I were you.

Some of us have already fainted over this deal on Audiokarma.

Welcome ARguy to the JBL Center of the Universe. Fire up the search engine here and all will be revealed about your Barons.

You held up that resale shop without a gun.

Nice score! :applaud:

Those aluminum legs (8) can fetch $300+ alone.

Yup. The entire package is worth about 50-times what you paid for it.
