cheap speakerz is cheap speakerz ..
if the price is right and you like the way they sound its fine.
It ALWAYS comes down to "if you like the way they sound ..."
different people like different music and different kinds of sounds/speakers.

Well, I'm not that familiar with that model -
I looked them up on this site - http://audioheritage.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=10661
but couldn't find a link for the TLX-16 on that page ...
Google search shows me these -
http://www.subito.it/diffusori-jbl-tlx-16-napoli-6962851.htm
Other than the picture., I know very little about them ...
its one of the newer lower price models, isn't it? Not trying to be mean,
its just they've made so many models over the years a model number doesn't always mean something to me ...
I own pairs of older JBLs - L26, L20T and L20T3 - plus some of the bigger ones, bought all of them used.
Again, if you like the way it sounds, isn't that really all that matters? ...

I can tell you that these speakers are actually over 20 years old so definitely NOT a newer model.
I have the JBL TLX 14s. In fact, I remember back in 1989 when I wanted to get speakers, I had the choice between TLX 14s and TLX 16s and B & W speakers, I chose TLX 14s. I was very pleased I chose TLX 14s because I still have them today! They have been used as monitors in studios here in England. The sound is full, detailed with great bass and marvellous soundstage and I'm sure that if the TLX 16s were properly looked after, they will sound great.
Here's a photo of my TLX 14s I uploaded recently to the gallery so you can get an idea.

Ah, okay - I can see where that TLX 14 looks like the image of the TLX 16 I found online.
The 14 is a 2 way, the 16 is a 3-way - lot of potential,
but I have no first hand knowledge of either of them ...
Again, like I told Arkstorm2 - take a couple of your CDs and go have a listen.
Go see if you like the sound, and if you like them and the price is good ...!
Well, thats all that matters, isn't it?
