For home use which would you prefer and why? I have some 4425's and wonder how they would compare to L112's.

Just stick with the loudspeakers in your avatar...

Trust me, the ZD 007's aren't going anywhere. These are for a second system in my son's room. I have the 4425's and just ran across a pair of L112's and was curious of the difference. I suspect the 4425's are better than the L112's but wanted to get others opinions.

BTW, what do you have to do to post a new listing in the Lansing Product Market forum? I've been trying to do so but can't.

I have no experience with the 4425 but I do have 4430's and have had L112's. I like the 112's in so far as they are a step above the L100, IMHO, with better bass and more accurate highs. Having said that, I have always been partial to large format two way monitors. I suspect if you are partial to the two way sound, the 4425 would be the way to go. You may get a bit more high end with the 112's but, for me, I'm lucky to pick out a 12K signal on a good day. The 4430's are just right for my wants and needs.
My two pennies!

Oh, I'll bet Zilch's finger prints are on those 007's!

Oh, I'll bet Zilch's finger prints are on those 007's!:yes:ZD=Zilch Duffinator. ;) After my first trip to Zilchlab and hearing some two way towers he had I knew which path I was headed down. The ZD 007's have LE14H-3s with 2452H-SLs on PT waveguides The custom xovers are similar to 4430s with HF and MF attenuation. Sort of like 2007 versions of 4430s. I did not set them up with bi-amp capabilities but wish I had. They can be easily modified if needed.

And I can't hear anything above 12 either.

Sounds like a great set up! Next time I'm in the Bay Area I will have to stop by Zilchsters place to check out his new stuff. The curvatures are ever evolving.....

I had both the 4412 and the 4425 at one time, and compared them side by side many times. I sold the 4425! Simple put, I prefer the 4412.
The 4425 have many advantages over the 4412, but they will really look pale against your ZD's...
The 4412 have other advantages that will complement your current system: the woofer is asked to play a norrower band, and the mids and high are more delicate than the 4425. This speaker sounds faster and cleaner to me than the 4425.
