A Center for my 508's

Hi all,

I have a pair of 508 that I brought around 12 years ago.
Still excelent and don't intend to replace them.

I'm going to upgrade to a 5.1 (5.0 propably) and my main concern in the Center speaker.

What brand/model do you think that will match properly the 508's ?

I live in Europe - Portugal and will have to buy here.

Actually, it is best for HT if all the speakers, including the center channel, are identicle. Any sub woofer in a 5.1 is an exception, obviously.

That said, if this is not possible, a center channel speaker that produces clear voice material is desirable since a significant portion of recorded material in 5.1 mixes are voices that are feed to the center.

The other consideration is trying to match sensativity ratings of the speakers in a multiple speaker system. These readings provide a measure of the SPL that a given signal (98db at 1 watt at 3 feet) will provide.
