Hi Gang,

I thought I'd post some pics of the new project. Now the 4345's have a new forum member home. I can get started building a worthy replacement .

I'd make you guess ,but the shape is a sure give away. Another Ango-German job.

This is a two-way version with a future up-grade to 3-way ..... maybe ?

All my materials ,except adhesive, are recycled and left overs.

The back and sides are made of 38mm chip board. Top ,bottom and baffle will be mdf and birch ply laminated to 38 mm also.

Hi Andy,

I'd feel a bit weird announcing that info. Perhaps the member will chime when he-she is ready !

K2 Baby ,

H9800 clone. resin ,cloth mineral mix.

2435 ,dusted and ferro greased.

Then a choice of woofer. I had my mind set on LE 14 - 3, but you lot wont give any up .:banghead: No problem ! so options are 15's, Alnico minty, and re- coned 2235 or 2234. The 2234 could be very interesting . The idea behind this being , I'd like to run the xover point a little higher and have the 2234 handle more of the lower mid giving me a bit more snap.

Anyway , I'll leave all that to the German half ! Bottom line is TRIAL and ERROR.

it sounds great. i have dual 18" (pa-chassis) left and right, and i think its just enough to get away with, fitting the satellites. i dont know how it would work out with the 2235, because i didnt find the time yet to learn how this actually works (i simply bought the plans). but my guess is that this would be just awsome :dont-know
you know the linkwitz-OB (http://www.linkwitzlab.com/woofer.htm)? i think something like that is easy to try with you owning lots of wood as is see on the pictures :D
clean bass is always good, and the dipole can be extremely clean. definitly worth a try.
on the other hand: ever heard a tapped horn (http://www.danleysoundlabs.com/tapped_horn.asp?MODEL=DTS%2020)?
mikey did.
mikey liked it...really really liked it

looking forward to see more--
