one week into my first JBL speakers, 4435's. I'd like to adapt my speaker cable. I have audioquest crystal I've used on on a previous set up with banana plugs to receiver and biware spades to b&w. I'd like to convert the spades to a pin or something that would go into the JBL push connector.

I saw audioquest has UST-pin, maybe I could convert the spades to this pin.

how do you utilize the original JBL push connector with a newer higher end speaker cable? I saw previous posts were the original push connector was changed out with banana plug receptor, is this necessary?

thanks

... or this sort of thing if you're willing to cut up your cable:

I've used the latter, but have treated them poorly and broken off bits
(bending them is a bad idea)

Then there are these if you need to spend more:

I strip back the wire from the end of the cable and twisting up the wire as tight as I can, saturate this tip with silver solder. I then grind this down to a size that will fit within the existing push terminals.

You might want to look at what goes from the speaker terminal to the crossover inside the box, before you go too crazy with exotic speaker wire....Tim

This is what I use, not real expensive and great quality.
