Hi All,
I'm not sure if I should post this in the Serial Number Registry sticky or not but here goes...
How desirable is it to have a pair of JBLs with consecutive (or at least "close") cabinet serial numbers? Is this a factor in determining the market value of a pair?
Also, why would the serial numbers of two speakers in a pair sometimes be separated by a considerable amount? For example, I'm looking at a pair of L112s; one has a cabinet serial number of something like 38XXX while the other is 63XXX. How could this be? Is it possible that the 63XXX was manufactured several years later, as a replacement for a damaged unit? I don't think JBL even MADE that many speakers! :confused:
