I'm building an Altec VOTT system and I would like to consider adding an UHF driver to suppliment the upper range which tends to be a tad week on these systems.
Anyway, I have a spare pair of JBL 2408s that I pulled from another cab and I was wondering if it might be a good canditate for this service.
Thx.

The mid range performance on the 2408 was weak and, dispite its relatively high factory sensativity rating, did not keep up with a LE14 in my earlier cabs.
Anyway, apparently these drivers have mylar diaphrams, that allow for decent UHF response; right?
Thx.

"JBL does not publish spec sheets on these models. You will need to look at the designs they are used in and figure it out yourself." (from AudioAsylum post)

Others here have put similar devices to good use on custom horns... (2407?)
