I have pair of two - ways with JBL LE14 Woofers and JBL LE85 " mid " Horns . The LE85s need new diaphraghms . Where can I get the " real " ones ? Also , I'd like the " Slant - Plate " lenses to use , ( when the grills are off ) , instead of the " Potato Mashers " .

If Kenrick Sound (jbl43.com) decides to repro more, they are recommended.
Otherwise the lenses are offered on eBay pretty regularly.

Diaphragms are still available that fit, if not exact replacments,
JBL P/N D16R2421B (aluminum) and D16R2425 (titanium).
Prepare to open your wallet fully, for the aluminum version.
JBL Service Center near you may have both. Then again, there are
non-JBL replacements as well... there are many discussions here
where opinions have been sounded on that topic.

Search around this site more for opinions and measurements on
what might be preferable for your taste and budget, what the
differences are between the original (D16R2420) diaphragm and
the suggested replacement, ...

I don't mind . I have no secrets . I live with my 101 ++ year - old father , and some calls from " strangers " would be very entertaining !

Plus , responses via phone or E - Mail are faster and easier than fooling around with web - sites , pass - words , user - names , log - in / log - out , etc. , erc.
